He performed his residency and fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville<\/p>\n Tennessee. After he went on to direct the lung transplant program at Vanderbilt for a period of 10 years<\/p>\n before moving to private practice in Franklin Tennessee in January 2008. He is board certified in internal<\/p>\n medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine and sleep medicine. He has a specific interest in<\/p>\n patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome who have difficulty with adherence to either CPAP or<\/p>\n BiPAP. He has been heavily involved in alternative therapies for sleep apnea including weight reduction<\/p>\n programs, hypoglossal stimulators, and oral advancement therapy. He has been nominated as a best<\/p>\n doctor in pulmonary medicine by Best Doctors Incorporated since 2008 to the present.
